Arsenal and Tottenham Clash Threatens West Ham’s Hopes

Arsenal and Tottenham are preparing for a major transfer battle this summer.

Arsenal and Tottenham will reportedly compete for Daniel Rigge from West Ham.

Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly competing for West Ham teenager Daniel Rigge during the summer transfer window.

The attacking midfielder, who has yet to make his senior debut for David Moyes’ side, has piqued the interest of the Premier League’s Big Six through his performances in the Hammers’ academy.

Rigge has performed admirably for West Ham’s U18s this season, scoring 11 goals from midfield in 19 league matches.

He has since moved up to Premier League 2 and scored in a 4-2 win over West Brom in January.

West Ham are reportedly battling to keep one of their most promising young players.

According to ESPN, Arsenal and Tottenham will compete for the Stockport-born ace this summer.

According to the report, Manchester United are also interested in bringing Rigge closer to home.

Former England U16 international played in Manchester City’s academy before signing a scholarship with West Ham in 2022.

Arsenal face Tottenham in Sunday’s North London Derby.

Rigge, who is now 18, is reportedly facing a major decision about his future.

He signed his first professional contract with West Ham in October, but he could be subject of a transfer battle between Arsenal and Tottenham.

“I am very proud,” Rigge said at the time of signing that deal. “It is a huge moment for me and my family because it is every young player’s dream to sign their first professional contract, especially at a club like West Ham United.

“It has given me a lot of confidence that the Club believes in me and hopefully I can do well at West Ham in the future. I have really enjoyed my time here so far. I felt really welcomed when I arrived ahead of last season and I am delighted to continue my development here.”

Meanwhile, Moyes’ future as West Ham manager is unclear. The Scot’s contract expires at the end of the season, and the Hammers are reportedly in talks with Ruben Amorim.
