Arsenal closing on second deal after Havertz – Fabrizio Romano

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the discussions between Arsenal and Ajax regarding their 22-year-old defender Jurrien Timber have been extremely positive for all parties involved.

Another offer is anticipated as Arsenal is determined to reach an agreement, despite their initial bid for the promising player being turned down. Transfermarkt values Timber at £42m.

Jurrien Timber, who was once a primary defensive target for Manchester United, is now potentially within Arsenal’s reach as he has been released by his former manager Erik ten Hag.

Despite Arsenal’s initial bid being rejected, there is still optimism within the Arsenal board that a deal can be reached with Ajax, according to talkSPORT

The Guardian has reported that Timber is enthusiastic about a move to England, but Ajax is demanding a fee exceeding £30m for the talented player, whom they highly value.

While Ajax is understandably hesitant to let go of a player they consider valuable, internal discussions between the involved parties, as shared by Fabrizio Romano with GIVEMESPORT, have been positive.
