Barcelona’s controversial 2023/24 away kit leaked online

Newly released photos of Barcelona’s controversial Nike away uniform for the 2023/24 season have surfaced online.

Barça, after a four-year gap, enter the upcoming season as the champions of Spain.

Due to ongoing renovations at their beloved Camp Nou stadium, they will be relocating to the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, previously used by rivals Espanyol, for a minimum of two seasons.

Barcelona recently unveiled their home kit for the upcoming season, which brings back the traditional Blaugrana stripes and pays tribute to the success of the women’s team.

Shortly after, images of their light blue third kit were leaked, and now reputable kit experts Footy Headlines have acquired pictures of their new away kit.

The initial reports regarding Barcelona’s away jersey for the 2023/24 season emerged in September 2022 and were met with resistance from fans who were displeased about wearing the colors associated with their bitter rivals, Real Madrid.

Nonetheless, Barcelona has a history of utilizing white as the primary color for their alternate kits, and this design was particularly popular during Johan Cruyff’s playing era in the 1970s.

The recreated kits faithfully incorporate the club’s prominent red-and-blue colors for the shirt’s trim, and they have also reintroduced their former logo, which was used from 1975 to 2002.

It is anticipated that the white jersey will be paired with blue shorts and red-and-blue hooped socks, reminiscent of the attire worn during the 1970s.
