Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao concluded Manchester United’s preseason, but Erik ten Hag’s work in the transfer market is not yet complete.

After a busy weekend for Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s season opener against Wolves is only six days away.

Rasmus Hojlund was formally unveiled at Old Trafford on Saturday before Manchester United’s 3-1 friendly victory over Lens.

The next day, the Red Devils drew 1-1 with Athletic Bilbao in Dublin – a match that could have been Harry Maguire’s last in club colors.

The former captain’s error led to the game’s first goal, amid rumors that he will shortly join West Ham.

Sofyan Amrabat, a midfielder for Fiorentina, is Ten Hag’s primary objective if he wishes to add more players to his squad.

Here are the most recent United transfer rumors that have surfaced in the past 24 hours.

Ten Hag compelled to make a transfer U-turn

United and Urawa Red Diamonds agreed on a transfer fee for goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, but the Japanese player has spurned a move to Old Trafford.

United has been interested in acquiring Japan international goalkeeper Suzuki all summer and has reached a fee agreement with his J.League club.

However, the American-born goalkeeper reportedly had reservations about not being assured first-team football.

The 20-year-old will instead join the Belgian club STVV, owned by the Japanese, where he will be the starting goalkeeper.

United believed that Suzuki could be one of two reserve goalkeepers to summer signing Andre Onana, but that he was still several years away from having Premier League first-team status.

Fernandes’s public appeal is disregarded.

Bruno Fernandes has heaped praise on PSG’s newest recruit.

Goncalo Ramos is expected to conclude a lucrative transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, despite Bruno Fernandes’ request that Manchester United sign his Portugal international teammate.

PSG is believed to have agreed to pay €65 million (£56 million) for the 22-year-old, with €15 million in add-ons.

Last season, Ramos had something of a breakthrough for the Lisbon champions, scoring 27 goals as the de facto replacement for Darwin Nunez.

Fernandes had stated previously:

“Here (United), the best players will always be valued, be it Goncalo or someone else. I think he has all the qualities to play in the Premier League, and when I say in the Premier League, I also mean Manchester United.”
