Chelsea backed off Tyler Adams deal after medical shoking tests results…

According to a source, Chelsea backed out of the Tyler Adams agreement after medical tests revealed that the American’s hamstring issue could keep him out for another four months.

The Leeds United midfielder may not play again until the conclusion of the season.

Adams tore his hamstring in mid-March, necessitating surgery.

MailSport can today disclose why Chelsea reduced their pursuit of Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams as the club continues to look for another midfielder.

The Blues were afraid that Adams’ recuperation from a hamstring injury would take longer than planned, according to a source.

According to the source, Chelsea’s testing revealed that the American star’s recuperation could take another four months, prompting the club to withdraw.

Adams sustained the injury near the close of the previous season, which resulted in Leeds United’s relegation.

The captain of the United States men’s national team was injured during a training session before to a March 18 match against Wolves.

The American midfielder joined West Yorkshire United last season, although he has a $25 million release clause that became active following Leeds United’s relegation from the Premier League to the Championship.

That injury necessitated surgery for the USMNT midfielder, and he hasn’t played for club or country since.

Adams joined Leeds from RB Leipzig last season and appeared in 26 games for the club.

This included time with fellow American and former manager Jesse Marsch, who was fired in the middle of the season.

The relegation of Leeds to the Championship triggers the midfielder’s stated release clause of over $25 million.

Adams is thought to be hesitant to play in the second tier, despite Leeds’ desire to construct a team around him.

The New Yorker has 210 top-flight appearances with Leeds, Leipzig, and the New York Red Bulls, scoring five goals in that time.
