Chelsea set to make £112m offer for Federico Valverde as they attempt to ‘break down’ Real Madrid president

According to reports in Spain, Chelsea are interested in acquiring Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde during the current summer transfer window.

So far, Chelsea has already welcomed Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, Angelo, and Diego Moreira to the club, but they have also seen 14 players leave.

Additionally, Rennes midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu is expected to join Chelsea soon, as the club has agreed to pay €27 million for the 19-year-old player.

However, it’s yet to be decided whether Ugochukwu will be integrated into Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team squad or sent out on loan.

Chelsea is facing difficulties in finalizing a deal for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, as the Seagulls are demanding a hefty £100 million for the Ecuadorian international.

Despite Chelsea’s third bid of £80 million being rejected, a report suggests that Caicedo may request Brighton to lower their valuation in order to facilitate the transfer.

Spanish publication Nacional is strongly suggesting that Chelsea is keen on bringing Real Madrid midfielder Valverde to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Despite Real Madrid receiving numerous offers for the Uruguayan international, they have turned them all down.

Liverpool reportedly made an €80 million bid, and Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli both offered €100 million.

In a determined effort to secure Valverde’s signature and overcome resistance from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is said to have prepared a substantial bid of €130 million.

Furthermore, Chelsea is willing to significantly increase Valverde’s salary, offering him a deal that would make him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League, nearly quintupling his current earnings.
