Granit Xhaka’s Championship Triumph Spurs Heartfelt Message to Arsenal

Granit Xhaka is hoping Arsenal can follow in his footsteps and win the league this season, despite Sunday’s defeat to Aston Villa.

On a personal level, Granit Xhaka had a fantastic weekend, winning the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen and scoring the winning goal against Werder Bremen.

The only disappointment for Xhaka was learning later that his former club, Arsenal, had lost to Aston Villa, with both games taking place at the same time.

Following the game, Xhaka insisted that Arsenal can still win the Premier League, and he hopes they do.

“For sure (Arsenal can win the league),” Xhaka said. “Boni (Victor Boniface) told me that they lost today, 0-2 against Aston Villa, but still everything is very close.”

“They know I am still in contact with many teammates, with the club, I wish them nothing but luck,” Xhaka added.

“Hopefully, they can do it this year because last year was very close, hopefully they can do it.”

Despite having won the Bundesliga, Leverkusen still has plenty to play for.

The German club is also in the Europa League quarter-finals, leading 2-0 after the first leg against West Ham United. They are also in the DFB-Pokal final, where they will play FC Kaiserslautern on May 25.

Even though the Bundesliga title has already been won, Leverkusen still has a lot to play for.

With no defeats this season, the team has already set a new record for the longest unbeaten streak since the start of a Bundesliga season.

They now have the opportunity to complete the campaign without losing.
