Arsenal have been linked with the move for Jurrien Timber and it now seems that the Ajax defender is close to finalizing a transfer to Arsenal, as the two clubs have reached an agreement.

The news of the signing was accidentally revealed by Timber’s brother, who shared a picture on Instagram showcasing a farewell gathering for the player.

The image displayed Timber’s photo on a board wearing an Arsenal jersey, accompanied by a caption: “Jurrien’s Goodbye party! See you in the streets of London.”

The post was later deleted, presumably after realizing that the official announcement should come from the clubs themselves.

Arsenal, who had a strong performance in the previous season but fell short to Manchester City, appear to be eager to compete for the league title once again in the upcoming campaign.

Manager Mikel Arteta has taken proactive steps to strengthen the team by acquiring Kai Havertz from Chelsea.

Additionally, the club has reached an agreement to secure the services of Declan Rice, who currently plays for West Ham as a midfielder.
