Jurrien Timber’s agent ‘spotted’ wearing Arsenal shirt in possible transfer hint

Reports suggest that Jurrien Timber’s agent, while wearing an Arsenal jacket, was seen, indicating a potential connection between the club and the Ajax defender.

Timber has garnered considerable attention from Premier League teams such as Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United due to his impressive performances.

It is rumored that Arsenal made a bid of £30 million on Monday, although Ajax is expected to reject it as they value the Dutch player at a higher price.

Despite making 47 appearances across various competitions last season, Timber is likely to depart Ajax in the upcoming transfer window due to the team’s failure to qualify for the Champions League after finishing third in the Eredivisie.

His agent’s choice of clothing added an intriguing element to the speculation surrounding Timber. During the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Manchester City on June 3, both Timber and his agent were present among the spectators at Wembley.

This appearance further fueled the rumors and heightened anticipation about the defender’s potential move. Additionally, Timber’s agent was also spotted at FC Utrecht’s match against Vitesse on May 19, indicating their active involvement in exploring potential opportunities for the player.

The agent’s attire during these occasions garnered particular attention, suggesting a possible connection to the ongoing transfer speculations.

A photo was shared by Chilean journalist Eduardo Hagn, capturing Timber alongside his agent, Christopher Coffie.

In the picture, Coffie can be seen wearing a red Arsenal jacket that prominently displayed the iconic Gunners’ cannon, which is a traditional symbol associated with the club.

This image further intensified the speculation surrounding Timber’s potential transfer to Arsenal, as it suggested a direct link between the player and the club.

The visible presence of the Arsenal insignia on Coffie’s attire added weight to the ongoing rumors and generated significant interest among fans and media alike.

Coffie’s involvement in transfer speculation is not limited to Timber’s situation. He previously drew attention when he ‘liked’ an Instagram post by Fabrizio Romano, a renowned journalist, confirming Kai Havertz’s imminent move to Arsenal. This indicates that Coffie might be a fan of the club.

However, while Coffie’s allegiance to Arsenal is apparent, it remains uncertain how much influence that could have on Timber’s final decision regarding his next destination.

Timber himself has acknowledged the likelihood of leaving Ajax during the upcoming summer transfer window. As such, the outcome of Timber’s transfer will depend on various factors beyond Coffie’s personal preference, including the offers from interested clubs and the player’s own aspirations.

He told Dutch outlet De Telegraaf in April: “A transfer is getting closer and closer, so to speak. There is a lot of concrete interest and I have made agreements with Ajax.

“Last year, Ajax asked me to stay for at least one more season and to extend my contract. As a club boy I did that with love and after the season we will review the situation.”
