Latest Arsenal injury news, with Mikel Arteta providing fitness updates on his squad ahead of the North London Derby.

Jurrien Timber could make his senior injury return for Arsenal against Tottenham this Sunday.

Mikel Arteta could have the entire Arsenal squad available for the North London Derby against Tottenham.

The Gunners are top of the Premier League table following their midweek victory over Chelsea, with Manchester City closing the gap after defeating Brighton.

Liverpool, meanwhile, lost significant ground in the title race after losing to Merseyside rivals Everton.

Following Jurgen Klopp’s defeat at Goodison Park, Arsenal will be determined not to suffer a similar setback at their bitter rivals’ home ground.

The Gunners have been fortunate in terms of injuries in recent weeks, with Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Takehiro Tomiyasu all returning and remaining fit, despite the latter suffering a minor setback.

Jurrien Timber has been on the injured list since August, and Arteta’s initial update indicated that he would be the only potential absentee against Spurs.

“Availability we mentioned before, that it was something key,” Arteta replied in a press conference when asked for the latest team news. “Apart from Jurrien it’s going to be very close that we have everybody available. That’s a huge boost that elevates the training sessions, the competition, between the players and the alternatives to pick the right line ups to change the game. It’s going to be something very important.”

Timber made his Arsenal academy debut against Blackburn last Monday, and his 45-minute performance was highlighted by a superb goal.

Despite the clear plan for the Netherlands international, Arteta was previously hesitant to suggest he could face Spurs, but his stance appears to have changed.

“We’re going to have to make that decision tomorrow after a training session,” Arteta said when asked if Timber would be in the matchday squad. “It’s very close, I don’t know if this is going to come to soon for him, but he’s very close.”

Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Richarlison and Pedro Porro are available for the match, but Oliver Skipp has joined Destiny Udogie on the injured list, with the latter out for the season.
