Luis Enrique reportedly wants Rodrygo in Mbappé transfer

There has been a recent development in the ongoing Kylian Mbappé transfer saga, suggesting that Real Madrid is now the sole contender for the French player.

Francisco Buyo, while speaking on El Chiringuito, disclosed that the soon-to-be manager of Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique, has great admiration for Rodrygo, a Brazilian player.

Consequently, Enrique is interested in acquiring Rodrygo as part of a potential deal for Mbappé. It is worth mentioning that including the young forward in the transfer may present certain difficulties, as stated by Buyo.

“Luis Enrique likes Rodrygo a lot and PSG would like to include him in a deal for Mbappé, but there is no possibility,” Buyo said. “Regarding a deal for Mbappé, Real Madrid will not exceed €150 million.”

Rodrygo, who became a member of Real Madrid in 2019, has already displayed moments of exceptional talent and possesses a bright future ahead of him. His impressive technical skills, speed, and goal-scoring abilities are likely the reasons why Luis Enrique holds him in such high esteem.

While including the 22-year-old player in the deal for Mbappé would potentially reduce the transfer cost, it appears that Real Madrid is reluctant to let him go. The interest expressed by Enrique in Rodrygo, followed by PSG’s denial, has introduced another intriguing aspect to the already intricate discussions surrounding Mbappé’s transfer.

Real Madrid has held a longstanding interest in the French prodigy, and rumors have been circulating about a possible transfer for quite some time. Nevertheless, this development adds to the ongoing saga, leaving many wondering which team Mbappé will represent in the upcoming season.
