Major Setback for Arsenal as Key Player Suffers Severe Injury

Arsenal have suffered another injury blow as Takehiro Tomiyasu will miss his side’s match against Wolves on Saturday evening.

Arsenal travelled to the Molineux Stadium on Saturday evening to try to catch Manchester City after their disastrous week.

The Gunners were knocked off the top of the Premier League table after a shock 2-0 loss to Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium, with City putting five past Luton the day before.

That defeat was quickly followed by their elimination from the Champions League after a loss to Bayern Munich in Germany, putting even more pressure on Mikel Arteta’s team to bounce back this weekend.

However, they will be missing Japanese international Tomiyasu, who suffered an injury during their Champions League match in midweek.

The 25-year-old has struggled with his fitness throughout the season, an unfortunate trend that has plagued his career in North London.

Fortunately, the Gunners have plenty of options in the left-back position, with Jakub Kiwior named to the starting lineup.

Arsenal fans are still hoping to see summer signing Jurrien Timber, who tore his ACL at the start of the season, but Arteta has made it clear that it is still too early.
