Man Utd arrive to agree deal to sign Raphinha from Barcelona – Convinced Ten Hag wants it done

Man United is looking to strengthen their attack this summer, and they are considering Brazilian player Raphinha, who previously played for Leeds United and later moved to Barcelona. However, his future at Barcelona is uncertain.

According to the Spanish source Nacional, Manchester United has reportedly traveled to Barcelona to finalize the acquisition of Raphinha. The 26-year-old Brazilian was an important contributor to Xavi Hernandez’s team that clinched the La Liga title last season.

However, the news outlet suggests that Raphinha is no longer regarded as an indispensable player and Barcelona intends to sell him in order to finance crucial signings during this summer transfer window.

The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, is said to be open to selling the South American winger if an offer of 60 million euros (£51m) is received.

Man Utd is fully convinced and Erik ten Hag has requested the board to take all necessary measures to finalize the signing of Raphinha.

Man Utd believes that their recent expensive acquisitions of wingers such as Sancho and Antony have not met expectations.

Thus, they need to enhance the quality and depth of their wide attacking positions. Raphinha, who can play on either flank, would be an excellent addition due to his versatility.

In the previous season, Raphinha directly contributed to 22 goals (10 goals and 12 assists) for Barcelona.
