Man Utd could include six players in Kylian Mbappe transfer swap to match record Saudi bid

Manchester United, among several other clubs, have shown interest in signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain during this summer transfer window. However, they might not have the financial capability to match Al-Hilal’s potential offer.

Nevertheless, Manchester United does possess a pool of fringe players that could entice PSG into engaging in negotiations.

PSG has made it clear that they intend to sell Kylian Mbappe this summer since he will become a free agent next year, instead of exercising the one-year extension in his current contract.

Even though the French international has expressed his desire to stay with the club, interested parties will try to persuade him to consider other options. Al-Hilal, a Saudi side, has reportedly had a massive £259 million bid for Mbappe accepted and is willing to offer him an astounding £13.3 million per week, breaking sporting records effortlessly.

However, Manchester United, along with other Premier League clubs, has shown interest in the 24-year-old forward. Manager Erik ten Hag might push the higher-ups at Old Trafford to initiate talks with PSG for a players-plus-cash deal.

According to Transfermarkt, the proposed deal could total £130 million, and SoccerDaily has highlighted six players that the Red Devils could include in the offer for Mbappe.

Diogo Dalot – £35m

To finance the acquisition of Mbappe, certain compromises will be necessary, and one potential solution is to consider letting go of a right-back.

Given Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s growth under Ten Hag’s coaching, he has become more robust defensively.

Therefore, allowing Dalot to depart could significantly lower the cost of Mbappe’s transfer – and Wan-Bissaka seems like a perfect replacement for Achraf Hakimi, who wishes to leave the club.

Donny van de Beek – £11m

PSG has shown a willingness to give former Premier League players the opportunity to revive their careers at their club, and Van de Beek could be the next candidate in line.

The Dutch midfielder is among several players expected to be transferred during the summer, and a move to the Parc des Princes would be highly appealing to him.

Amad Diallo – £15m

Even though Ten Hag has expressed interest in working with Diallo in the upcoming season, it raises questions about how the winger would fit into the team’s plans if Mbappe joins the club.

In this scenario, it might be reasonable to consider letting Diallo leave as part of the deal, particularly if a sell-on clause could be included in his contract. This way, the club can ensure a fair arrangement for all parties involved.

Anthony Martial – £13m

PSG is in dire need of a striker, and Martial appears to be the perfect choice for the club, given his successful stint in Ligue 1 in the past.

While the former Monaco player is currently deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester United, no firm offers for his services have materialized thus far. However, given his potential fit and prior success in the French league, PSG could be an ideal destination for him to reignite his career.

Jadon Sancho – £39m

In addition to Dalot, another high-profile player may have to move to France to help lower the cost of acquiring Mbappe. Sancho, who has faced challenges in shining in the Premier League since his transfer from Borussia Dortmund, could potentially rediscover his previous form with a change of scenery.

PSG might consider taking this risk, especially now that Lionel Messi has left the club, making room for new attacking talents. Bringing in Sancho could prove to be a strategic move for PSG to strengthen their squad and bolster their chances of success.

Fred – £17m

With Fred’s potential departure from Manchester United this summer, he could be viewed as a valuable depth option for PSG’s midfield. While there is interest from clubs like Fulham in acquiring the Brazil international, Ten Hag might prefer facilitating a move abroad rather than to a Premier League rival.

PSG could consider Fred as a suitable addition to their squad, providing depth and quality to their midfield options, thus improving their chances of success in various competitions.
