Manchester United Engages in Talks for Acquisition of Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice

Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport reports that Manchester United is in negotiations with OGC Nice regarding the acquisition of Jean-Clair Todibo (23).

On Monday, Fabrizio Romano disclosed the Red Devils’ interest in the Nice defender.

Todibo is being pursued as a replacement for West Ham United’s desired Harry Maguire (30). According to Hawkins, West Ham are accelerating their efforts to acquire the English central defender and are hopeful of completing a deal.

Manchester United will pursue a transfer for Todibo if the specified scenario materializes.

Ongoing negotiations are taking place between the two organizations, and the Premier League club is also in contact with the player’s representatives regarding a transfer.

In July, the sporting director of Les Aiglons, Florent Ghisolf, expressed his willingness for Todibo to leave the club this summer.

The former sporting director of RC Lens stated, “If all parties are satisfied, a departure could occur.”

Supposedly, Todibo is worth between €40 and €50 million. The contract of the former Barcelona defender, who was called up to Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the first time last season, extends through 2027.
