Real Madrid’s Pursuit of David de Gea

Real Madrid’s Pursuit of David de Gea

Real Madrid is eager to acquire an emergency goalkeeper and is considering David De Gea as a possible option.

After Thibaut Courtois’s serious injury, David De Gea is the favorite to contract with Real Madrid in the coming days, according to Rudy Galetti.

The Belgian will now miss the majority of the upcoming season, prompting the Spanish powerhouses to make an emergency goalkeeper signing.

Real Madrid has had a relatively uncomplicated transfer window thus far, signing essential players and even a promising youngster in Arda Guler.

Florentino Perez may have kept an eye out for opportunities, especially from France, but the club’s transfer window was essentially closed.

The ACL injury sustained by Thibaut Courtois has necessitated a search for a replacement goalkeeper to replace their starter. It is not an easy undertaking by any means, as market options are extremely limited.

Few Arsenal supporters will breathe a sigh of relief over the club’s decision to sign David Raya a day ahead of the Courtois injury.

The Brentford player would have been a target for Real Madrid, but the club is currently exploring alternative options.

Kepa Arrizabalaga of Chelsea remains an option, with Chelsea reportedly accepting proposals.

The Spaniard was a target for Real Madrid prior to his transfer to England, and the club could renew their pursuit of him after a lengthy absence.

Similarly, David De Gea nearly signed with the Capital Club, but a defective fax machine thwarted the deal.

Hopefully, these machines are now operating for Real Madrid, as the former Manchester United player has emerged as a leading candidate to replace Courtois.

Rudy Galetti insists this is the case, and the club will notify the goalkeeper shortly.

Bayern Munich is also interested in De Gea, but if Real Madrid acquires him, the German club will have missed out on an extraordinary number of players just this summer.

The Spanish powerhouses could make him their No. 1 for the forthcoming season and even offer him a lucrative contract.

De Gea departed Manchester United following a turbulent summer of contract negotiations.

The club terminated the contract despite the goalkeeper penning new terms.

Since then, Manchester United have paid significant transfer fees to acquire Andre Onana from Inter Milan, while De Gea continues to search for a new club.

He could become a reliable option for Real Madrid, who would benefit from De Gea’s vast experience.

The injury to Courtois occurred at an unfortunate moment for the club, as the Belgian goalkeeper had performed admirably over the previous two seasons.
