Trent Alexander-Arnold unveils a new haircut as he returns to Liverpool for pre-season training

Trent Alexander-Arnold unveiled a fresh hairstyle when he rejoined Liverpool for pre-season training, signaling a new beginning. Despite a challenging season, Liverpool managed to salvage some pride by finishing the year with an impressive 11-match undefeated streak, narrowly missing out on a Champions League spot.

Alexander-Arnold played a pivotal role in this resurgence, redeeming himself after receiving widespread criticism for his earlier performances.

Under Jurgen Klopp’s guidance, he was assigned a new dual role, shifting from right back to a more central midfield position.

The strategic decision to move Alexander-Arnold to a midfield position proved to be a brilliant move, as he contributed seven assists and scored one goal in just 10 games, displaying a renewed sense of confidence and skill.

Last season, Trent Alexander-Arnold had dreadlocks, but he has opted for a significantly shorter haircut now.

As the 2023-24 season approaches, the English player aims to further capitalize on his success, and fans can anticipate a fresh appearance from him.

On Tuesday, Alexander-Arnold joined the rest of the Liverpool squad at the AXA Training Centre for pre-season preparations. Alongside 12 other players who were involved in international duty in June, he was granted additional time before being required to report back to the club.

Earlier, a group of players had gathered on Saturday, and they noticed that Alexander-Arnold had removed his signature dreadlocks, which had become a recognizable part of his appearance last season.

Instead, the 24-year-old sported a neat and straightforward haircut, featuring shaved sides, as he underwent various fitness and medical assessments.

In a Twitter video shared by the club, Alexander-Arnold was seen exchanging greetings with Luis Diaz and the newly signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton, who joined Liverpool for a transfer fee of £35 million.

Upon his return to Liverpool for pre-season, Trent Alexander-Arnold revealed a fresh hairstyle.

He was then quizzed on his new style to which he replied: “The hair speaks for itself, fresh start, new season, new me, we’re back and we’re better.”

Klopp’s Liverpool team is scheduled to travel to Germany for a training camp, during which they will play friendly matches against Bundesliga 2 teams Karlsruher SC and Greuther Furth.

Following that, they will head to Singapore to participate in matches against Leicester City and Bayern Munich. The start of the 2023-24 Premier League season presents a challenging opening fixture for Liverpool, as they will face Chelsea away on August 13th.
